Must see stalls at the Autumn Fair 25th October 2019

25th October 2019

After the success of our Summer Festival, we’re excited to be hosting an Autumn Fair at Countesswells this weekend.

Stalls will include some of your previous favourites with some new and exciting additions too, alongside face painting and a fancy-dress competition to get you in the mood for Halloween! It’s the perfect opportunity to put costumes to the test ahead of this year’s trick or treating. You might even find the finishing touches for your ensemble at one of the stalls!

There will be something for the whole family, amongst the green space and beautiful scenery at the development. Here are just a few of the additions to this year’s glowing line up:

Fits The Scoop

It might be colder, but don’t let the weather stop your taste buds from enjoying a scoop from North-east based ice-cream and sorbet shop, Fits The Scoop. It’s long list of deliciously rich flavours includes stars and classic staples like Scottish tablet, strawberry cheesecake, cookies and cream, lemon biscotti and Biscoff.

Add to the mix a refreshing sorbet selection and warm bubble waffles and this promises to be a tasty addition to the fair.

From Bakery Lane

Another one for our sweet toothed attendees, From Bakery Lane produce home made goods galore. Brownies, cakes, traybakes, cookies, tarts and scones baked to perfection are just some of the incredible range of treats on offer.

It’s array of homemade granolas, marmalades, jams and chutneys are just as impressive. We love the sound of the white chocolate and raspberry granola. Add a dollop of yoghurt and some sliced apples straight from the tree and we’re sold!

Damn Fine Cheese

You feta believe this next stall will make you melt. Dumfries and Galloway based cheese company, Damn Fine Cheese, create the most delicious creamy cheeses in a variety of unusual and exciting flavours including Whiskey and Orange Cheddar, ‘Red Velvet’ Red Leicester and ‘The Italian Job’ – an irresistible combination of tomato, basil and garlic.

Look out for their mouse on your way around the market to pick up a wheel!

Bows by Lou B

Producing hairbands, bows, bobbles and clips alongside all kinds of other adorable pieces. Get tied up in the collection, including themed and sparkled bows in many different colours with beautiful detail and something for all ages. The crown headbands are perfect for any young dress up queens or princesses in attendance or as a splendid finishing touch to a Halloween outfit.

Why not pick up a dog bowtie as well and have the whole family looking top notch!

Garry Shand Chainsaw Sculptures

The sound of a Chainsaw this close to Halloween usually gives us the chills but this one is sure to have you in awe instead.

Garry Shand will be showcasing his experience and incredible chainsaw carving skills live at the fair. Witness his incredible craftsmanship as he sculpts ‘Countesswells Creatures’ which will remain as a feature after the fair as part of the community. Can you guess the creature before he finishes each piece?
